Bourges 2028 is the entity responsible for the preparation, coordination and delivery of Bourges’ European Capital of Culture 2028 programme. Its mandate includes the development of an ambitious artistic and cultural programme, the structuring of European cooperation projects, and the implementation of a long-term legacy strategy.
The project aims to strengthen cultural participation, foster innovation in cultural and creative sectors, and position Bourges as a leading European laboratory for ecological transition, notably through low-carbon cultural practices and sustainable territorial development.
