Space Y is a non-profit organisation, which aims at creating value for Europe through the development of space-based applications and the growth of the EU downstream industry. It results from the evolution of Galileo Services (GS) in line with the EU space policy for the 2021-2027 period. Space Y pursues GS activities with a broader scope, which is to support and assist in the implementation of the EU Space programme and to stimulate downstream technology and business development, leading to significant job creation opportunities, economic growth in the EU and enhanced quality of life for its citizens. It also advertises the EU industry competence, supports EU institutions on request and expresses industry views. Space Y works in close collaboration with the key European institutions, the European Space Agency (ESA) and national space agencies providing a unified voice on issues of importance to the industrial sector.
