The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is an international partnership established in 2002 to finance efforts to combat HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria, primarily in low- and middle-income countries. It mobilizes funding from governments, the private sector, and philanthropies and invests these resources in country-led programs implemented by local partners, rather than delivering services itself.

Through an inclusive and results-based approach that engages governments, civil society, affected communities, and technical partners, the Global Fund supports prevention, treatment, health system strengthening, and efforts to address human rights and social barriers to care. Since its creation, it has disbursed more than US $69 billion, helped save an estimated 70 million lives, and contributed to a reduction of over 60% in deaths from AIDS, TB, and malaria in the countries where it operates.
